Ever check the price of some of your books?

Does your book have 10 chapters missing? Did you pay $1300 for a 4 year old dell laptop? Tired of the old desktops and slow network?

Ever check the price of some of your books?

Do an ISBN lookup on some of your books, It will seriously make you wonder what you're paying for..

http://www.isbns.net/compare_prices/9780536082008 - $9
http://www.isbns.net/search/?query=0-536-30874-8 - $5
http://www.isbns.net/search/?query=0-536-75360-1 - $6
http://www.isbns.net/search/?query=0-536-08352-5 - OMG!!! $20

When I took political science and art classes in community college, I was LUCKY if I could find something cheaper than $40. My PoliSci book was $60 used, $120 brand new. I never had the luxury of spending $20 on a book.

$20 new? The sad part we were charged $400 for each book. I am surprised it found results, when i checked back in jan 2008, no results found for any of the books.

yeah, I used to ask the dean about our book costs all the time, he would simply tell me that either the website price was wrong, or the money went mostly into lab fee's (you know, computers that don't work).

Use that site to find pricing info. The Microsoft certified books are obviously worth a lot, but for the other stuff, No way it would be $400

Go to the FA, ask for a cost breakdown summary, guarantee they won't break it down far enough to see the real costs. Even though at a real school, i pick the classes, books, schedules, etc and i know where my money is going. At ITT, we babysit our students as we shove lies down their throats so they don't realize the truth, then we knock them over the head and take their wallet!!!

My boyfreind still had his itt tech books. Not sure if he stole them (not sure why) or was allowed to keep em! But last week we had a bonfire and burnt his books! It was awesome! But back on topic, he said his books were pretty expensive. But when he got to MCC they were much cheaper then at ITT :grinning:

The only real students attending ITT Tech are the ones that shouldn't be there.

I have all the books I got from ITT, plus a few I snagged from a box from library that they were giving away for free. My original idea was to use the free books to study and test out and get credit for those class for free. However with the way things keep going with ITT, I want to individually light them on fire and throw them at the idiots in financial aid. (Really financial aid is the only group of people I have problems with, and the dean who wrongfully expelled a friend of my boyfriend and myself). I absolutely love my program chair. She takes very good care of her students, the best she can anyway.

The books from ITT are way too overpriced, considering I have seen numerous books from the CNS Program at barnes and noble and borders, for cheaper than ITT charges. And I can the entire bible series for Adobe Creative Suite 3 for less than 1 quarter at ITT.

The lying Student Reps? The teachers who refuse to spend time teaching and/or just give out A's? Can I hear about the expulsion? I can't imagine that they would ever expel anyone unless you were costing them money.
