I finally got my friend to leave ITT tech

He never believed me until last week. His ITT Tech in omaha, ne is now going to start using blender and GIMP instead of photoshop and 3ds Max. That is extremely low to be using open source software. He says his chair said it is because of the economy and that they will get new licenses for the software when they have the money.

When they have the money? WTF they make Billions every year. Anyway open source software is good, but companies don't use it, so in this case using GIMP and Blender isn't going them any good.

The point I am getting at about them using open source is that it is unprofessional which gives grads less chance of getting a job no matter how good the software is.
