I didn't want to admit it, but for some time now i been getting bitten in my sleep. Well last night i did confirm it was bed bugs because when i lifted my box sprint there were 5 big fat ones underneath it. I quickly vacuumed up the bastards and threw away the box spring. I haven't found infestation in my mattress but the eggs are so small they are nearly invisible to the naked eye.
I believe it's my new apartment i moved into to. I should of seen it coming, they told me before i moved in the last guy had left furniture and they needed to remove it. hmm wonder why!!!!
So now i threw away a year old box spring that was in excellent condition and i got a serious problem, which many are now facing because the "let's be green" idiots got DDT pesticide banned which killed these fuckers.
Living in an apartment makes it worse because if a neighbor, either beside or above me has bedbugs, i can get them back or more, even after i got rid of them from my own place. Anyone who has ever had bed bugs usually does a shit load of research and knows more about them than an ant or a cockroach, which turns out to be quite easy to get rid of compared to these bastards.
Bedbugs hide and come out of cracks, crevices, your carpet, mattress between usually 3-5am before the dawn. They climb walls and can drop down on you from the ceiling. You can't feel them because they use a anthesitic when they bite you, and they you see/feel the bite days afterworld. The bites itch really bad and last 10 days or so before they go away. Bedbugs are like ticks for humans. They love to live where humans sleep.
Thinking of moving out for a while and just letting them die? Think again. They travel on you, your clothes, belongings, luggage, boxes, you name it. They can live up to 14 months without any blood before they die. If your not there, they will find another source. So if you move to the living room to sleep, so will they!
They are quite ingenious species actually, they hide, feed on you for 10 minutes, then go back to hiding for you to find out in the morning.
Since then i been up, vacuuming the hell out of my mattress, carpet and wall crevices. That isn't enough, i am going to need chemicals, steam cleaner, and a carpet steam cleaner. You have to heat these guys to 140F to kill them and there eggs, but it's hard. They can be in nightstands, dressers, headboard, wall-plates, light switches, carpet, etc.
I hope you wish me well in getting rid of these bastards. I will be going to the office later and see WTF are they going to do about it.
