A little advice

Postby sevenalive » August 19th, 2008, 11:29 am

When your out in the sun please wear sun block. On saturday, i decided i wanted a tan, so i didn't wear sunblock. I went Salt River Tubing in Mesa, AZ for 5 hours. I basically didn't wear sunblock because "I want to get my tan on". Common Sense left me that day, when i went home, i found out i had a 2nd degree burn. I have water blisters all over my chest and arms. It's now Tuesday and i am still having severe pain. I am applying aloe every few hours and taking ibuprofen. My body has still not begun the healing process (as far as i can see, no visible change).

I have now increased my risk for skin cancer and may have scars and aging. I been researching remedy's online for the past few days. Basically don't pop the blisters (some have leaving exposed underskin, which could be infected easily) and apply lots of aloe.

My skin still feels on fire as i write this. I cannot believe i did that, water intensifies the Sun's UV rays. It will take me 2 weeks to heal. I hope it's sooner than that.

So i won't be active during my healing time.

That sounds like something I went through during a 3 hour outing at the beach several years ago. I had major sunburn and didn't feel like doing anything for days afterwards. I needed aloe and some sort of healing solution, too.
The only real students attending ITT Tech are the ones that shouldn't be there.
