Removed Posters and Police

I put a few posters up at ITT Norwood Oh Branch. They had sticky backs and cuts on the sides to prevent easy removal. I came back two hours later to add some more around the campus and was amazed by what I saw. Not only did they remove my posters, but the police were there guarding the place.

Guess we know which side of the line their on. Next time, I'm using silk screen methods. If that fails, a glass etcher. The message will be heard.
So far I've directly stopped 16 people from attending ITT.
16 x 45,000 = 720,000
God only knows how many they've stopped.

Wow I can't believe the police would even come out to that call. WTF are they doing there again lol? To be safe, you can put flyers on the cars, they can't do much, if anything, about that. However if you put it on there property i guess they can bitch and call the police. Seriously the police?

Trespassing and Vandalizing/Soliciting on private property (depending on what the message was and local law) are usually against the law. :(

Of course the side walk/street is usually public property (the parking lot is iffy depending on the location) so you're be safe to stand/sit there with a bullhorn or something... hell if you have a projector and power source (generator, car, extension cord, etc...) you can probably get away with projecting images/movies on the side of the building if you find an open, unobstructed wall. ;)

Vandalizing? No vandalizing, there posters not spray paint cans.

Its just a good idea to do them on parked cars. They won't take them down, it's not on there property, and less noticeable until they get in their car.

Ok well maybe vandalize was the wrong word. But it's still the same principle that I can't go into your house and post fliers, pictures, or anything else I want without your consent.

And you can still be cited for trespassing in a parking lot so your best bet is to stay off of their property to do whatever it is you want to in order to prevent any court orders barring you near their property.

EDIT: Oh, but if he was to post flyers or posters that are setup in a way that they cannot be removed then it is defacement of property (i.e. vandalizing). ;)

If you are going to post up posters, use wheatpaste to put them up.

If you are going to post on glass, use glass frosting fluid with some emory cloth on your finger. Don't let it touch your skin.

Also write on your car windows about ITT's "story", and drive around town!
I went to ITT Technical Institute, and all I got was this lousy T-Shirt!
