I must say that the instructors at ITT are the worst. I know a lot of this stuff already, I just needed a degree to put on my resume. I chose ITT because it's really the only "college" of any in this area that actually has IT courses, I didn't want to go for Computer Science, I don't want to program. ANYWAY, I find that I'm always correcting the teachers, asking questions that force them to react like a deer in headlights, or I become the kid in class that everybody comes to for help and therefore even though I'm trying to learn at least something I don't because I become the designated class helper. Sometimes the teacher actually does know the material, but then you're stuck with their inability to teach it. I don't think that they require these people to have any kind of teacher degrees, anybody know for sure? Some of my current teachers include: My "linux operating systems" teacher, who somehow has his own consulting firm, and achieved a linux certification, which I found out to be the 3X0-101 test from SAIR, and when I found the actualtests.com questions for it, was more or less "what does ls do?". The biggest gripe that I have is grading. The teachers are all pussies, pardon my french, to actually give somebody a failing grade. I guess of course it would be in bad form to fail your "customers". I'm constantly in classes with people that do absolutely nothing and pass with a B or an A, while I try to overachieve so my degree will at least mean something to me, if not anybody else. I think that covers it for now at least, thank you for listening!
