This is actually the ONLY instructor at ITT i liked. Infact he only taught for about 5-6 months before he got tired of ITT's shitness. He actually had real-world experience, he worked for a local company here while he taught at ITT. He actually knew what he talked about and didn't rely on the book at all. I thought he taught well, but most of the class didn't learn or understand C++. For that i blame the students, i believe if you wanna be a programmer you at least have the ability to learn on your own and have already tried to program things already. It seemed like most of the people in their never programmed before and thought it would be cool. Well you gotta have the mind for it, i am a self learner when it comes to technology. I use my instincts and google, if i got a problem ill figure it out myself. That's what being a programmer takes, most senior programmers today don't even have a programming degree, they taught themselves the language, as i did with Java, C++, VB, and C#.
Anyway, Sparks was a good guy, he left ITT because of the poor pay and they kept scheduling him on saturday mornings which he didn't want to do (i didn't want to do either).
