For those that may not know, I graduated ITT with an Associates (not like it means anything) degree and went to another college instead. Luckily, I was able to test out of a number of gen ed classes, studied my ass off + prior HS knowledge. Currently am very happy at a new school, but that is beside the point.
I would be lying if I said that ITT did not give me anything in return, I did get something.... I made few decent friends... While 90% of people were dumbasses, 5% were pretty cool, the remaining 5% did not speak a word of english. The 5% I related to, I became friends with and still chat to every so often. While most graduated around the same time as me, one is a special case. He keeps on failing English Comp I & now II class, I simply do not understand why. The only thing ITT in Co requires is for you to attend every 2 weeks and turn in homework every now and then, you do not even really have to do anything, just write your name...
Anyway, here is where my story begins. My friend, who is still in ITT, called me from the blue last week. He pretty much asked me to attend his Networking class for him as he wanted to go out and he had already missed 2 classes in a row
I get to ITT, oh the memories, and I begin to remember this hell. While gaming and doing nothing was fun, it really didn't help my future any. So, I find the classroom, take a seat, and hope that instructor is dumb enough not to realize. I sign in, nobody seems to care. Sit through 2 hrs of lecture and the teacher doesn't even know wtf he is talking about. I don't think he knew what ethernet cable was even.....
I guess the point of this thread is to point out how stupid ITT is. Teachers know nothing, they do not know their roster. Where is all this individual attention and hands on people have signed up for?
On aside note. My new school has 12 computer labs with mostly 24" LCD's, at LEAST 2gb of ram on a nice dual core/quad. My new school has 2 labs of 35 pcs each dedicated to video production, where each pc is 8 core mac/pc with 8gb of ram and a very nice Quadro cards. My new school isn't even a tech school...
ITT"s shit is still pathetic. I was not surprised to see that my friend's "lab" had no dvd drives, pc's had 512 mb of ram and were outdated to hell. Jeesus, somebody put these bastards out of business already...
