I had a professor for problem solving who talked more about airplanes and his wife than math. I doodled the entire class and never paid any attention and still managed to pass with an A+. Several classmates and I went to our program chair to comment on the lack of teaching going on but he seemed to just shrug it off and say "That professor is retiring soon." I was so mad...here I am paying for an education and I am recieving what I feel to be elementary school work in a COLLEGE. Something seems wrong with that picture.....

UM! I don't know what "challenge out" means. I was told I had to take every course I was assigned. Firstly, nobody belongs at ITT Tech. (It is a criminal enterprise. A confidence trick.) Aside from that, students who are unable to "challenge out" of introductory courses are exactly the people who belong there. Granted, the "subject material" gets way way way "more difficult," BUT YOU DON'T ACTUALLY HAVE TO DO IT!!!!! What we had to do is sit there while the instructor did his one-man-show, B.S.'ing about this and that. (I had one instructor who pretended to teach, complete with reading from the book and slide shows.) Eventually, he would hand out a "study guide" (read "answers to the next week's quiz/test.") (The handout from said teacher was always badly xeroxed. It was almost always very slanted, looked like a copy of a copy of a copy and had little flecks all over it. And the bottom line was almost always cut off. I was usually the only one who said anything. (Very graciously informing him that we could not read the bottom line. And yes I did usually wait for somebody else to mention it.)

PS. The word "read" above is the past tense of the verb form of the word, or something. Pronounced "red." Some of you caught that and some of you didn't.

Hey folks im a current student at the madison MS campus, and probably the first one to find this site as it is brand new and has no graduates yet.
I was blown away when i found this site! Its great!
Its so nice to know so many people are suffering as much as me hahaha

anyways im in my 3rd quarter now and just signed 2 more sally mae loans so i plan on finishing this godforsaken hellhole, but not before i fire my fucking english teacher...
for the past 4 weeks Dr. Hope White has been the worst excuse for a teacher i have ever seen( ive seen plenty i went to school in the south lol).
All she does is bitch, bitch, bitch. and she is one. she has yet to teach and im only passing because im a decent writer. she is the type of asshole that speaks before she thinks and never has anything good to say, always bitching about us students messin up her money because were not attending class.

and yes she is a DR! DR this, DR that she spent 8 years getting a doctorate in english, and yet she cant find a job and still lives with her father which pays all her bills.
she cant even take care of herself how pathetic...but does that stop her from bragging about her many accomplishments and her useless degrees...of course not as a matter of fact we are all beneath her.

well i finally had enough and went to the dean during a break with my story(who also has had complaints for being incompetent). when i got back to class the first thing she said was "I heard one of you students talked to the dean about me. OH SHERWIN, SHERWIN, SHERWIN! Im not scared of him, you think i give a damn!"(btw the dean is sherwin)
shortly afterwards she said "yaw be quiet ____ is trying to do his work and yaw are disturbing him"
am i wrong or did she just call me out to the whole class and mock me and the dean...
I am so fucking outraged at her AND THE DEAN FOR TELLING HER IT WAS ME! that i am at a loss for words trust me.
so next week i am going to the dean's boss and reporting both and threatening to leave with my 3.92 GPA and perfect attendance if she is not removed.
actually getting a bad grade is almost impossible since all the teachers give you the test as a study guide. one teacher didnt even give a final she just gave all of us 100s

I find your story to be unbelievable? To everyone else!! Do not expose your identities!! They will blackball you!! (It is not as simple as you may think! Thay will (clandestinely) assassinate your character. There is no thay! There is no it!)

Just be happy with yourself and what you are. (Unless you are hurting people (for money and/or w/out remorse.)

Now for everyone else, like this website, I posted this to help any "would be" ITT students thinking about attending the school in my area.
The fact that I listed names of certain people at my own expense shows my sincerity at trying to help these people make a more informed choice.
Yes I know the ramifications of my actions including expulsion for "failure to behave in a manner that reflects favorably upon the student's association with the school."

Majority of the teachers at the campus I went to have communication problems in english and they dont teach you the course properly.They always say they have Masters in Computer Science, so on and so forth.If thats the case, why work at ITT

*hint hint* my college mathematics course teacher there had HORRIT english problems. Besides that the one who taught us "Theory" I felt sorry for, he was nice and actually respectable and actually did attempt to teach something though he was in the wrong environment and the wrong school.. I'd actually appricate at him more if he was at a university or some other college.

It was in the 8th quarter when I had my Group Dynamics class for CNS. We arranged our desks in a big circular pattern so we could see each other, like a campfire. Then the instructor wanted to know what we’re doing to give back to the community? DID I HEAR THAT RIGHT? ITT WANTS TO KNOW WHAT I AND OTHERS ARE GOING TO DO TO GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY?! A school like ITT whose entire business model is based on gouging students, communities and parents wants to know what you are going to do to give back to the community. These people at ESI take corporate greed to a new whole new level. Charging students 20K per year and then asking them what they are putting back into the community. That is very sick! This is like taking a morality lesson from Pol Pot. I would like to know what ITT is putting back into the community? Let’s go ahead and list them, and by all means correct me if I leave anything out.

1. Financial carnage and ruin for the borrower.
2. Wasted time and effort.
3. Frustration and emotional anxiety.
4. More debt.
5. Piss poor education.
6. Worthless books. (from India, written by a second language)
7. Labs that don’t work right.
8. Chinese instructors.
9. Minimum wage jobs board.
10. Then they broadcast irritating commercials all day to remind you of what a dumb ass you’ve been.

I have finally figured out what I am going to do to give back to my community. Guess what it is.

They make a stupid paper mache row boat every year using donated materials by Home Depot and Lowes (have no idea why they would donate to a FOR-PROFIT company), and it always sinks to the bottom of the tempe town lake in AZ. Surely with the prices ITT is charging they could afford some paper, paint, and glue.

During my first quarter they had 2 introductions to computer courses, one was for the CNS students and the other was for Electronics. I was at the Murray campus and the other class was actually tying cans to together with string as a demonstration in communication. The students had Campbells soup cans tied together with string and then one student was tapping on it with a stick in a show of communication. I want to see ITT put something like that into their commercials. ITT tech always runs commercials with a deep throated narrator talking about the jobs of tomorrow; they will show these menacing router and switches on the verge of world domination. I want to see a commercial with ITT grads putting together a network using fish string and duct tape. I ask myself why I continued on with that school after witnessing something like that and I don’t have any good answers. When students go to ITT they can forgot about high tech concepts like tip and ring. ITT tech students communicate by waving torches.

LMAO! So so true.. It's so sad that you can't even tune your telelvision to the disney channel these days without worrying about seeing about some dunce brag about how their "life has changed due to the choice of ITT", which I believe they pay a good number of the people they choose to make commericals with, I bet a good number of the ones they do put on television feel as miserable as us, if for a minuite someone would take them out of their fantasy back into reality, they'd cry. But these days money (about a good amount of quantity) will get a person to do anything these days (Even fly to france and jump it's famous tower, which I'd hope the CEOs of ITT would do one day.. )

First off. I was told by a "chair" (talking to anyone at ITT is like talkin to a chair!) That Itt doesn't have instructors...they have facilitators. I was told this after asking my "instructor" basic questions about photoshop. He told me to post them in the discussion forums.....yet there was no forum that week. I replied that it was his responsibility to answer....I was at 100% until then. He listed me along with a few others as having a high level of experience. he fawned over my work...after my questions tho...all of my submitted work was graded at 5%. I got that fixed by complaining...and complaining..sending email to the top 10 people on the contact directory. The "instructor" then demanded an apology...(for asking questions!) and told me if I was ever in another one of his classes I would fail.

I took 3 quarters @ full time a total of 9 classes. I will post other similar episodes separately.

I just graduated from the Canton location and I guess I was lucky, most of my Instructors were pretty good, but we had one horrible instructor in the IT school. Guess who I had for most of my IT classes in my last year there. In my 5th quarter I had an Active Directory class and Mr. Khan was the Instructor. In the first week we were supposed to form groups of two and install Active Directory with one person acting as the parent domain and the other one acting as the child domain. No one was able to because Mr. Khan was walking around the room asking everyone why they weren't up and running after two minutes and then restarting everyone's computers. That night I went home and went to the MS site to see what the problem was, and I found out that it takes at least twenty minutes. The next week Mr. Khan rolled around to my group and went for the power button after two minutes, and I literally had to slap his hand to prevent him from restarting my machine. We had twelve groups in that class. On week 11, only 4 groups had actually managed to install AD, and only 2 had actually finished all of the labs. We were supposed to take a Final on week 11, but instead 8 groups were still trying to install AD. That instructor was supposed to be the campus stud as far as networking was concerned, but he couldn't even teach people how to do a simple install and he cheated 24 CNS students out of a class that is vital to being able to do the job in the real world.

I also had this clown for the Linux Admin class (where we did absolutely nothing), both WAN classes (where we did almost nothing), and he was my faculty advisor for the Capstone. The truly sick thing about this is that I don't think that he was incompetent, I think he just held every student in his classes in total contempt, but because it's been hard for ITT-Canton to find IT instructors lately they were kind of stuck with this doofus and a lot of students had to either learn on their own or not learn anything, which is unacceptable at a school that charges as much as ITT does.

Not to mention that Mr. Kahn kept changing the assignment for us in our Capstone group. I had to redo 90% of my work. I am surprised I made it out of that class with a good grade.

I am currently attending ITT going into my 5th quarter as a Criminal Justice student. I have been having huge issues with one female instructor who just on Tuesday during class had threatened me with some pictures that were taken for another class. I went to the dean about this issue, and of course nothing has been done. I am bothered that I have to sit within a class room with an instructor who has threatened me and my career because of a picture taken for another instructor during a "scavanger hunt".
I also sit in class only to listen to how her and the neighbors have cookouts for football games, etc. The class is always out of control with students jumping from table to table for candy passed by other students. I need direction fast on this issue of the threat.
