I had one instructor at ITT that was good but in retrospect I think he is joke, because he was a really big Linux fan and would drive across town so he could break Microsofts balls. I am sure he will know who he is if he reads this, but I wonder if he realizes that ESI is really no better or worse than Microsoft. ESI would murder their own mothers so they could slip into the shoes of Microsoft. I want to know what makes his current employer so much better than Microsoft. Microsoft charged me a hell of a lot of money for Vista but they didn’t leave me in the hole 30000+. Every once in a while I guess windows will crash and I have to reboot, but at least I don’t sit around and feel sucker punched because I bought into it. At least windows activation doesn't keep me up at night saying, “Where in the hell am I going to get my key code for activation.” Whereas with ITT/ESI “Where in the hell am I going to get 30000+ so I can pay off these bloated loans.” Microsoft may have done more damage to the public at large than ESI but it wasn’t out of lack of malice or greed. It was only because ESI has not been afforded the opportunity yet.

I don't like Linux, mainly because... Anything I can do in Linux, I can do in Windows. Can Linux say the same? Get a student lab copy of XP pro and never have to activate again. Thats what I did.

Well i got vista and never looked back. I do like Ubuntu and it's package system. Although the lack of applications (mostly native Adobe CS3) is why i don't use it.

But let's stick to the topic.

The worse Instructor i had was my last: Stan Clark, that fucker pisses me off everytime i think about that jackass. He is a worthless PIECE OF SHIT, he knows about this site because i wrote the web address on the board and he went to it!!! LOL funniest shit i ever seen when he looked at that site.

He did absolutely nothing, just came in (mot of the time he was late btw), handed out a packet and the assignment on another piece of paper. The packets were really really old, we got a packet about IE 4 and HTML 3, WTF!!!
I complained about that one, he says well thats good that you know the difference, but the code should be the same. WTF No it's not HTML standards and code have changed since 1997. Most of the code in the packet did not work and got compatibility errors about depreciated code. He didn't give a response to that one.

He then showed us an astronomy club website he did and that he gets paid to maintain it. It looked like crap (if i can remember and find the site ill post it. I seen better sites in geocities than that crap, and thats supposed to come 20 years of web development experience (thats what he claimed), well he is full of shit since the internet didn't go mainstream until the mid 90's. Then one day his assignment was to take his website, and redesign it and then turn it in, he had a bunch of requirements. I already suspected the following:
He was going to take the best redesign, steal it and submit it to the club and get paid for it.

Guess what! That's exactly what happened, then the next class we were suppose to design a bakery website. I still suspect him of foul play here too.

The guy did absolutely jackshit, didn't lecture, speak or anything. He basically showed up for a paycheck.

I don't believe the instructors at ITT, they make up lies to make themselves look good. Most of my instructors said they worked for "So and So" for 10+ years and taught at ASU for 5+ years. Then why in the hell are you working for ITT Tech?

My economics teacher was a real piece of work! He said he taught at ASU for a year, said he has a master's degree (what from UoP LOL). First he said he was a ASU professor, then he was a realitor, then a salesman (but he never specified what he sold), later on he said he sold "paper products' (What like the guy from Heroes!).
This guy look pissed off all the time, probably because he works for a scam. The class barely taught anything. Most of the time he talked about he daily adventure to the perfume store. Where he would complain to the employees about the store having too much employee's (Where does this guy get off). Or he would go into circle K, make sure everything is clean, how many employee's there were and if they were working. He would also complain to them.
Its funny because every class he went to a perfume store for some odd reason, and when he told a story had to mention he had a wife, hmm. The class was really horrible, but it was entertaining to some degree. I tried not to fall asleep most of the time, passing odd looks over at "DVD" laughing at the guy. Sometimes he would catch us and ask us what were laughing about, which mostly it was about it.

At one point in the class, he was talking about stocks and he showed us ESI (ITT's) stock, trying not to burst out laughing, i asked him can we see ASU's stock. He said ASU doesn't have a stock, i asked why? (trying not to laugh of course i knew why), i mumbled something and shrugged it off. He thought i was serious? I did it as a joke, my friends were LOLing themselves though. That economics class sucked really bad, we had absolutely no assignments to turn in, so during lab we were on this site. I kinda feel bad for the guy though, but he was a big liar. Which one is it? professor, realtor, or salesman. He couldn't keep his stories and lies straight either.

Wow i am in a good ranting mood, ill post a bunch of topics about different things, so look out for them.

Yes I have also had instructors hand out assignments where they were actually looking for the best idea in a classroom so they can take it to their other job and pass it off as their own. Can anyone say the word PLAGARISM. I had an instructor ask the class for an interactive multimedia something or other. It was really silly because with the program we were enrolled in, it had nothing do with that sort of thing. A layer 3 packet is not something that’s typically creative. This website has the poetential to be hilarious.

Well, for the ITT instructors, where I went to, there is only one good teacher, the rest still learning how to speak english

Isn't that the truth, about 1/2 of the instructors i had were foreign (India, Russia), i don't know about their citizenship status (if born or not). Most of the teachers don't have prior experience outside ITT, and most do not have the degree's they say they do have. They say oh i worked at blah blah college and i got a masters degree, if that is the case wtf are u doing working here. People lie to make themselves look good, i had one who had a different story every week, but the true problem is that they don't have any instructor requirements.

At ITT, if your realtor/paper salesman/perfume connoisseur then your qualified to teach economics.
If you build a geocities website 10 years ago then you can be their web teacher.

Majority of the teachers at the campus I went to have communication problems in english and they dont teach you the course properly.They always say they have Masters in Computer Science, so on and so forth.If thats the case, why work at ITT

I know of one IT instructor at ITT Troy came in Monday morning and told the class he was hung-over and wouldn't mind if the class just signed in and left! Honest to God truth.

I have had an "instructor" that taught the Stratagies For the Technical Profesional that went on and on with useless lectures that eventually began to drive me insane. I remember one night that he was droning on and on about disclaimers. He mentioned about the surfing barbie does not actually surf. Right after the statement, one of my buddies mentioned that "He's pissed that his barbie can't surf." I started rolling out loud. He snapped his head straight at me and gave me an awkward stare. Anyways he made lame ass jokes all the time, like "How do you eat an Elephant? One bite at a time." By that time I'm looking around the room to see if anyone popped a smile, everyone just sat there confused like if that was supposed to be funny or not. Oh my god, you can right a damn book on this poor sap. He was telling us one day how he had to get online to check his ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid) level in his car. WTF? I mean any moron knows how to do that, it's regular maintenence. This arroused another question. Did he have to get online to know how to do any menial tasks such as: wiping his ass/ how to tie shoes/bang his wife? I think I have went over the edge a little but the guy had it comming. He was a little too booksmart but lacked the common sense.

There were a couple (and by couple I mean two) instructors at my school that were pretty good. But the rest sucked hard. One namely, that everyone who went to Getzville ITT will definatly know, Mr. Giasomo. Worst teacher I have ever had, ever. Not only did he not have a clue what he was teaching most of the time. Actually said during one class that he hadn't taught that class in over five years and didnt remember most of what it was about. He was a discusting old man. At Getzville there is a small population of females (duh) so most of the time the classes would be all male, so he just assumed that gave him the right to say what ever perverted pedephily thing that came to mind. I seriously hate that old man with a passion.

Teachers at ITT Tech are there because it is the best job that they can get. Any moron could do the job of teacher at ITT Tech. The only requirement is being able to stifle your conscience and keep your damned mouth shut. (Not warning your students that they are the victim of a confidence trick.) That said, teachers are kind of supposed to be book smart and lack common sense. That is why they are teachers.

I posted this with my testimonial but I'll post it here also.

My friend and I, in the introduction to computer programming class, seemed to be the only ones who understood how to do things. Not only that but we were interested in programming, did some programming on our free time, and knew a lot more about it than the teacher did.

We had this one assignment though that was really bad, simply because the book never discussed how to do it. There was absolutely no mention of it except for in the teachers guide I suppose. Well, the teacher didn't understand any of it, so didn't attempt to go over it, which left the whole class doing trial and error and ending in failure.

My friend and I were the only ones who got it, and after turning it in, the teacher took our code, printed 25 copies, and handed it out to the other students.

Now, I do not write beautiful code. Code grammar still eludes me because I'm just trying to get the thing to work. I do not write comments or notes in my code either, and to look at my code when you were in this introduction class, you would not know what you were looking at, because I did my programming much different from the book (I did it correctly). But of course the whole class passed it, they just copied my code into theirs.

I do not doubt your ability to program, but if you’re not able to challenge out of introductory courses you do not belong in that school. They take advantage of anyone who takes those introductory courses.
I can think of better ways to spend money. Build a small fire to heat myself.
