Tired of listening to your instructor tell stories about his daily visit to a perfume store? Wonder when your going to get a "hands on" approach?

i haven't seen any teacher sections on this site.....but i got some stories for ya.

first mid way through my multimedia degree itt hired in a married couple who im pretty sure didnt have a degree for teacher (one had his in broadcasting and the other was an art major). anywho i met the husband first as a movie teacher (the class were they teach you about lighting and angles and such), a creepy guy with a deep southern accent and a twitch that happened every 5 seconds where he had to pull the collar of his shirt and jerk his head. first off he would never tell us what are reading assignments but every week he would have a quiz for us. second even though the class was about learning to make a movie the final project was to be only 5 mins long and for ever 30 secs it ran under or over you were marked down. third when it was time to go to the lab and work on the assignments he had to find 1 of the 3 computers in the room that had the dvd drives load the lessons on his thumb drive and drop it on the computer youre working on. (most of the time he would wait till the lab time started to load the stuff up and 90% of the time we encountered errors.)fifthly he waited till the last 4 weeks to let anyone shoot video for there final project.
finally this guy was dumb as a box of rocks.....no...thats insulting......to boxes with rocks in them..........he was the master of pointing out the obvious, i kid you not one day he brought in some move lights and turned them on and said see how bright these are....then said be careful these lights are hot.......as appose to the lights that stay at room temp?

we had his wife for one class and she didnt seem that bad at first.....i soon had her for a majority of class when i went for my digital entertainment and game design degree. when we (as in my class) had here for DEGD for the first time she would act like it was a huge inconvenience to her to show up and i remember one time i was having trouble with a lab assignment and ask for help, she stopped typing and email to some one and stopped texting here hubby to tell me that the answer is in the book then proceed to finish the email and play a game. we later had here for some lv design classes and story boarding.....she was fun...but the problem was she was too fun. every other week in the lv design classes she brought in a board game and in the story boarding class every other week we would watch a movie

i was happy to find out that the quarter after the movie class the husband had been fired and that after i had graduated the wife was cut to.

finally my ITT did do one thing right they hired a teacher by the name of Mr. Lewis. he knew alot about 3d modeling and art and anytime we had a question he had an answer if not right away then at least by the next visit. if any reason keep me going to ITT it was him he always kept us in the loop and i think he had a winning strategy when it came time to teach and that was if the book didnt fit into what we need to learn he would through it out and teach us new things in Max or maya ranging from maping to animation to anything in between. he always tried to make a multimedia club to help us learn more then what the school was teaching since the day i started.......it took 4 years (about a month after i graduated) for him to finally get it.......i go down there and continue to learn. he also knows itt is a broken machine as he sees student broken souls wandering through the halls. we asked him why he hasnt left to find something bigger and better and the simple fact is he has a wife and kids to support.
