Decided to back out . . .

Postby backstept » March 10th, 2010, 9:17 pm

classes start next week!

I plan to write them tomorrow and begin withdrawl process, but I'm worried now, because yesterday in the mail I got a letter from Sallie Mae saying that the loans were delivered to the school.

I'm going to keep this thread updated on the progress of things

thank you guys so much
I think you've saved me from a decade of debt!

I have the letter all written out . . . I have a question:
is it better to mail it, or should I deliver it in person?

Mail it using certified mail, and also email them with your name and info stating you are cancelling. Get everything in writing. Go there in person and get receipts(?) for the cancellation. Read other posts in the Exit Interview folder for help and follow the cancellation guidelines in your campus' catalog. Example:http://itt-tech.edu/campus/download/057.pdf

Do the same for Sallie Mae. Good luck.
The only real students attending ITT Tech are the ones that shouldn't be there.
