The names George, I am 19 and I was currently talked into going to ITT by a recruiter at the Sylmar campus. After being nervous on attending college for my first time, I started to do a lot of research on ITT and found nothing but bad news about the school. I noticed how badly they wanted to get me in for my "future". The entrance test was a total joke, I didn't even try and "passed", they didn't even show me scores or any proof of passing. My main purpose of going to my first appointment to check out the school was to get information on what they offered, but I bought into all of it and feels like I was forced to get in when I was only looking for information. I signed everything they gave to me to sign and even had my mom come down to do the finicial aid papers. The papers I signed (which I still have a copy of) are: Performance Fact Sheet, Student Right-to-Know Act Disclosure, a pink paper without a title, and the Notice concerning transferbility of Units and Degrees earned at our school sheet. So Far I got an acceptance letter from the mail, class schedule for the first 3 months, and a copy to both my mom and I about Sallie Mae's lending privacy policy. I told my mom about all the bad reviews and how I can get better education at a community college and cheaper. I did enough research to find this school a fraud and waste of my time. I can tell my mom was really uncomfortable about having to pay 40,000 after I graduate but she will do whatever it takes for me to get an education so she bought into it.
I start in December 1, 2008 and project day for my program is on the 8th of November, then I have to go to the orientation on Nov. 22. My mom wants to go asap and cancel everything, we will do so on Monday. I notified my mom on how I already know that they are going to beg me to stay and say whatever needs to be said to change my mind but I'm not going to buy any of it. I told her not to buy any of it either. We are going to do whatever it takes to save us from this scam. I will update you guys on what happened. In the mean time, take a few and give me your feedback. My main concern is, will I have to pay anything for going to the interview and doing all the paper work?
P.S: btw, I was going to take the CEET program for my associates.
