LEAVING ITT TECH

Postby antfarm » December 29th, 2010, 6:05 pm

Hello I am planning on leaving ITT TECH. The only problem is, its already 2 weeks into the winter quarter, will they refund any of the money back? That way i can use that money towards paying for community college. I have already signed up for Spring Quarter for my local community college but I am worried about how I am going to pay for it. I just signed up the finanical aid for the school couple days ago!!!

Get out right now and return all materials and make sure you get a signed paper saying they were returned. They will probably try to charge you something, but the pell grants *might* take care of those costs. Do it immediately though and read other posts in the exit-interview forum.

You can get financial aid through the community college as well, and any money left over from the grants they cut you a check to help with living and travel expenses, unlike ITT-Tech. Go to the CC's financial aid office or call them up, did you already do a fafsa this year, if not do one at http://fafsa.gov and send it to the community college when you get to that section, do this right away so you can secure aid before you start.
If you don't like it, MOD IT!

Get everything in writing. Write back and tell us how it went.
The only real students attending ITT Tech are the ones that shouldn't be there.
