Unfortunately I found out the truth about the school of lies too late to withdraw. So I finished, got my degree, and now have recieved two interesting letters.
The first of which is a paper asking all kinds of personal information, employer information, and refferences. I have graduated and am paying back my loans. I see no reason for them to need any of this information. But, it says at the top, "The U.S. Department of Education requires you send the information listed below back to your school." Now I believe this is complete BS and I do not want to send this back.
My question is, do I need to send this back? If I do, can I falsify the information? Fake address etc. so they cant find me anymore. I dont want anymore contact from ITT ever.
The next letter I recieved is a congratulations that I recieved a Pell Grant... Um.. I graduated. It would not surprise me one bit if they are still taking money under my name. What should I do? What can I do to make sure theyre not getting any more money under my name?
And one more question. I read about getting a copy of your financial history and I think this is a good idea to make sure theyre not screwing me even more. Whats the easiest way to do this. The school is an hr and a half away. Is this something I can demand to get in one day?
Please help.
