Interest Rates and loan amt

Alright I official am transferred to Iowa State. I found something interesting with my sallie mae loan on their website. They get info from National Clearinghouse for when a student registers for classes. Last week, my loan said
Outstanding principal balance: $26,914.00 Accrued interest: $2,204.16 Total amount outstanding: $29118.16

Now it says
Outstanding principal balance: $15,277.84 Accrued interest: $2,204.16 Total amount outstanding: $17,482.00

My interest rate also dropped from 16.8% to 4.5%. I don't know what is going on here but I emailed sallie mae and I will post the reply once I get it.
