Recently I was called into the Financial Aid office to renew my financial paperwork for another so many quarters (i can't remember). They tried rushing me to hurry up and sign it but I thought to look through it. I noticed that my monthly payments went way up. They said that tuition increased but it still didn't add up. So I noticed that my 10% discount for being a military veteran was gone. They said they got rid of it and not longer offer it. I said that I did not get 10% off of my tuition yet just the 3 quarters that I have completed and that the website said 10% off my tuition. I sent multiple complaints into the financial aid office and even to the director himself. After waiting two weeks I get the answer I was not looking for. I know they are screwing me cause they didn't want to discuss the issue during the signing of my financial papers. They tried to hide the change. After multiple complaints the website referring to the 10% discount quickly changed. But I do have copies of the original. I feel that if you sign up and they tell you that you get 10% off your tuition for being a Vet you should get the full 10%.
I am currently thinking about taking this one to court. I have been told I have a slam dunk case. The website said: Scholarship recipients will receive a 10% reduction in the cost of their ITT Tech tuition, regardless of whether they are currently receiving college fund benefits from the military.
No were does it say partial 10% or does it say until they stop the military scholarship. Their reasoning is that the military scholarship is no longer available. But what about the 10% that has nothing to do with military that's all ITT.
So, I am trying to fight it. So far I am getting nowhere. Going to have a television investigator go knock on their door asking questions and then go the lawsuit route. It will cost them a lot more than what I am asking for
