[An old post from a deleted board. It rules, no? Too bad he was wrong about ITT being closed down.]

It's all about getting butts in the seats. It doesn't matter if the student can do the work, or if the classes are a good match for the student, but get them in the classrooms, get the loans, get the money.

None of the reps where I worked had a degree, let alone a background in a technical field. They were pushed to get bodies and given un-realistic goals, just so they could get rid of them and not have to pay bonuses. None of them sat in the classes and they had no idea what was taught - they had to just follow a script and be able to give standard answers to any questions.

They were trapped as much as the students in a company that didn't give a hang about them. After all, they could always be replaced by someone new.

Frankly, I think the way things are going, I wouldn't be suprised to see ITT go the way of CLC and the students and staff come to work some morning and find the building locked with a sign on the door that says "Closed - We will contact you about your classes."

The only real students attending ITT Tech are the ones that shouldn't be there.
