[Posted here because it's one of the few accurate statements about the school, in this case spawned from rage (apparently). Originally posted on a deleted board (http://www.itt-sucks.com). Cheers.]
"The fact that your credits WILL NOT TRANSFER (are you listening? I said WILL NOT TRANSFER) to ANY school other than UofP or another ITT should be reason enough. Why do you think that is? Things look good the first few quarters. Classes are pretty easy, instructors don't ask too much of you. Around quarter four is when you begin to notice that you're not learning all you should be. Instructors can only teach as quickly as the slowest person in the class can keep up with. ITT will let in anyone with $100 and can pass a test that consists of answering 13 questions in 12 minutes. Think of the lazy low-lifes you went to high school with. The ones that did drugs, drank all he time, did nothing in school. They're sitting next to you in a class right now at ITT if they came up with the money and passed the test. You can be the brightest person in the class, feel that the class is going too slow. Oh well, nothing you can do, because the instructors have to make sure the idiots in class can keep up. If everyone was a good student and did their work it would be different, but it isn't that way. I believe that instructors take alot of heat when they attempt to fail someone. So people are passed on, whether they deserve it or not. What does that do to the quality and reputation of the school, and the piece of paper you busted your butt to get? And on top of this, if you want to get a 4 year degree at a real college, plan on starting over. You will have some luck getting your english and math credits to transfer but not the core classes. Just for fun, spend 20 minutes on the phone with a 4 year college where you live. Find out what ITT credits will transfer. You'll be very shocked at the answer you get. The people who post to these board are not the "bottom of the barrel". We got sucked in by the hype, we're just trying to prevent it from happening to you too. ".
