Good things will come of this law having been passed. Too bad it is too late for all of us. (I am so fucking depressed. Not presently so much, just in general.) Good things. Good things.

In other words, the banks got the gravy and the federal government took the risk. It was a sweet deal for banks for decades.

The law ends the process of shunting government student loans through banks.
