You know, as a graduate/graduate student of sociology from a California St University I thought it would be interesting to audit a class at ITT and listen to their theories on crime and criminology as that was one of my concentrations and my academic advisor is one of just under 300 ACTUAL criminology Ph.D's. She has given presentations for all of the major law enforcement agencies in both the US and Europe. So I listened to their lectures under the auspice of monitoring in-class study habits of students at Technical/Vocational schools. I was floored at how little these instructors knew. They were unaware of simple criminological theories which are taught at community colleges across the US. They were unable to answer questions correctly, instead offering their own opinions and advice, none of which had been accepted as scholarly research. It was rather embarrassing to sit and listen to much of the lecture and be encouraged by the fact that these students were paying $40,000 for an AA degree and I obtained my B.A. And M.A. from an actual California State University for just under $28,000. That was my tuition for 4 years as an undergrad and 2 years as a graduate student. My instructors were Ph.D's from UC-Riverside (Top criminology program), Harvard, Oklahoma St, Syracuse, and university of Virginia, just to name a few. You cannot justify spending the money you spent because ASU was increasing class sizes, etc...all state universities are experiencing budget cuts and increasing class sizes. Seven is right, you're missing the grander picture and focusing on your "good" classes. For half the price you've paid for 3 years there my advisor could have taught you everything there is to know about criminology and prepared you for a scholarship to a top notch school like University of Tennessee which one of my classmates was accepted on a full ride.

I attended ITT Tech, from 2005 to 2007. I was first enrolled in the CNS program, and I realized i was not learning anything, and still managed to pass my classes with a B or better. I changed my major to Criminal Justice which was not any better, but i continued taking classes hoping that once i receive my Bachlors i would be able to attend Law School, which the administrators and career office stated i would be able to do so. Once i was getting close to graduation I began applying to colleges in my area and thats when i realized that my Bachlors does not mean anything, and I could not attend any Masters programs or Law school anywhere. I decided to leave ITT Tech and applied to an University which i was accepted in, and when i tried to transfer my ITT Tech credits they were not accepted because of accreditation issues, out of the 110 credits i took, they only took 28, and those were basic classes. I am currently getting ready to graduate with a BA in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology. I would def will like to be a part of the lawsuit. One of my teacher who later became a Dean at ITT Tech, is actually giving advices and information on how I can sue ITT Tech to at least receive a refund on my loans, He is currently not employed by ITT Tech, and he is a lawyer that deals with civil suits.

I have 22 years in Law Enforcement, and had been teaching for ten years when I began working at ITT. After three weeks I was called into a meeting with the Department Head and Dean and told I had to teach the "ITT way". What they meant was to dumb down the courses, keep the students happy or you will be gone. After I failed some students I was told I would be put on "probation" the next semester. They recruit students who have no chance of ever getting hired by a police agency and put them $40,000 in debt. This is unethical.
