ACICS

Do you feel that your program does not provide an adequate curriculum? Does your program chair take your complaints seriously?

ACICS

Like many of you, I too have written to ITT Tech or any other organization you can think of to file a complaint against the institution. I'm trying to get my "education" (if you want to call it that) refunded because I went there for 3 quarters and they're trying to get me to pay $30,000 for an unsatisfied education. I don't know how they justify that? Now I can't return to school without over borrowing for loans and sadly enough credit earned don't transfer as we all know...so I'm basically stuck working in retail trying to fight Sallie Mae off before I default. I had received a letter back from the dean of ITT Tech of Norwood, Ohio. He had told me to file a complaint with "Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools" (ACICS). Which I did, I'm wondering if anyone else did the same and what kind of reply you got? I received a stock letter back basically calling me a liar and stating that there was no evidence to backup my accusations.

I am from the Cleveland Ohio area and I also sent a detailed letter to ACICS about my complaints with ITT.

They claim they did an investigation and found no wrong doing.

I also contacted the Attorney General and they did send me documents proving they did an investigation. They sent me a letter that they received from ITT answering all my complaints and the Attorney General also sided with ITT.

So I will just continue to work my low paying job and continue to pay Sallie Mae for the next 9 1/2 years. I give up.

I tried to go to a Community College after I quit ITT but I didn't qualify for any loans because of my high debt to Sallie Mae.

Fuck it all.

Yeah. ITT pays ACICS for accreditation.

The only real students attending ITT Tech are the ones that shouldn't be there.
