CDD at the seatle Campus

Do you feel that your program does not provide an adequate curriculum? Does your program chair take your complaints seriously?

CDD at the seatle Campus

I am a 7th quarter student at the Seattle campus and i have had my fair share of lies told to me and many of them have come true (amazingly). First we were promised to get copies of any and all programs we needed (in the first quarter) which we didn't, the rep i had told me this and i actually believed him, we did not find out that we needed to download them from autodesk's student community until my 3rd quarter. Second i was promised that i would have access to any and all of the school labs to get my homework done (wrong), I found out that i would only have access to the shitty ass computers in the LRC, because someone was stealing hard drives out of the computers, come to find out it was actually the ISS guy and they were all placed on his desk, now with 6 quarters of complaints and telling the director that I would not pay the school any more money (3 other drafting students) unless we got access to our lab, we finally got the policy changed. finally i was told that i would receive any help that i needed to receive employment. this has not happened yet but the staff has actually given me several leads and it is working.

the Seattle campus has SOME (ok 1) teacher that actually teaches the class. his name is Brian Smith, i have had him for several classes and i have been happy with the way he teaches, but, the admin doesn't. he dose grades like they should be done!!

this is where my complaints come from. for the past 2 quarters i was given instructors that cant speak clear English, they didn't know the material, and cant teach worth a damn. in my technical graphics 2 and arch 2 classes we were introduced to 2 different programs that we never used before, the teacher did not know them as well. shit it takes him 2 hrs to login to the computer and attempt to teach, but at this point we are almost done with the assignments. we were given 1 project to complete for each class, and we did not get any explanation on what to do. several students had to complain to the assistant dean (he is also our program chair) to come and show us what we needed to know in week 2. this teacher has no clue about the student surveys and that at this point he will not make it for another quarter.

again i am not defending itt because there is a lot of things that i was promised that did not come true. the over pricing of supplies is the worst. i have to pay $500 for a tool kit that i could get at staples for less than $150.

the one thing that itt has done that has helped me is firing the stupid ISS guy that did nothing to fix computers because he was to busy getting his own degree (yes they hired a 3rd quarter student to do the job).

ok i am done with my rant on this.... more complaints to come

Tell me about it, I am currently enrolled in the same program over in Lexington, KY and they gave me the Drafting kit that i only used introduction to drafting. I was bullshiting around over at Office Depot and saw the exact same kit for around 80 dollars. WTF? I could have saved at least 420 dollars on a plastic drafting kit. I now have lost all the materials for drafting, but I now modified the case for my laptop (which has kept it safe btw).
