Do you feel that your program does not provide an adequate curriculum? Does your program chair take your complaints seriously?

This was the program I was taking. I got 1 year which equal 4 quarters before I realized this was a mistake. Luckily I didn't have to keep going on with that mistake. The whole reason I went was because my high school guidance consoler recommended it. I was smart and applied to multiple other schools also. I decided enough was enough after that year. I had been previously accepted to Iowa State University(which is ranked #3 in engineering and #7 in computer related programs in the United States) in 2006. They keep your acceptance for 2 years. I decided to accept the acceptance for their computer science program. I begin June 16 this summer. I chose to take summer this year to get in asap. Not surprisingly none of my credit will transfer. I am upset by this but not shocked. Even my old roommate who was attending Iowa Western Community College just found out the ISU will not accept his credits because they are not on the same level which he is furious about. After reading all the complaints about ITT, I realized that my ITT was probably one of the best. Our teachers actually taught except for one of our 4th quarter teachers. Surprisingly some of them actually knew what the were talking about. I am upset that we never really learned anything that I didn't learn in High school. I still wanna know why my HS guidance consoler recommend that I go their. If we get this class action lawsuit underway I would be willing to testify against that god awful excuse for a business whoops I mean school.

Ttobba, you should tell your guidance councilor how you feel. It is your duty as a victim of ITT. These ITT Tech people sell hard. Maybe they sold your councilor. Please don't do nothing. These people are evil and this councilor is unwittingly sending these poor kids into their clutches. I don't know about you, but for me, my experience at ITT ruined me financially and really shook my faith in the goodness of mankind. I still don't trust people and I have a lot of hate in me. I know it is thankless and the people you spare suffering, hardship, and victimization will never even know, but just let him know that the school is overpriced and lacks quality and that the salespeople are dirty lairs and smile at at you when they are telling you to sign away your life savings for for a dirty lie. Send him to the Wikipedia article or something. Community college is so much better and it costs so much less. And they don't spend million upon millions on advertising. (Not just TV and radio. The internet has their advertisements as well. You notice they don't use signs of any kind. I think it is because their victims would deface them with the words "scam" and "lie".)

The way it was at my ITT, as you move closer to graduation you get the more senior teachers. They stopped caring years ago about imparting knowledge or even acting like it is a real school. By the time I was close enough to graduation that every single class was a joke, I just decided to tough it out, throw good money after bad, and hope that employers didn't know what an absolute joke of a school my degree was from. (They are polite about it, but they know.)

Great words Sheep. It sucks that we are going to be financially fucked for at least 10 years (If we are lucky). Time and Money wasted, this is why this class action lawsuit needs and will happen.

I have talked about it to that councilor which he is now retired. He gave me his reasons for recommending me to it. I despise him now. He had personal gain in it. He has stocks invested in ITT which is why he recommended it. Somehow I think he also gets commission. I got a letter is the mail a couple days ago from the program chair begging me to come back. Too late asshole I am going to a real college before things get horrible. I have a years worth of debt to ITT and hope it won't burder my financial aid for Iowa State in my later years.

I threw it out sunday like I do with ITT stuff I still receive. I will keep all future letters though. I am glad I got out.one year in and my loans are up to 26,000 because of interest. When I first applied for the aid there. They gave me something that said it was only 6.8%. Now it is 19.2% for some reason. I also got an astrive private loan to cover some personal expenses because I have disabled feet and the job market for sitting jobs was bleak around omaha, ne campus. I got 25K from them yet the interest is only up to 26500. My private loan has much much much less interest. About .5% which shocks me because I was told private loans were gonna be through the roof. Iowa State uses sallie mae and I though oh boy here comes the interest but no it is only 0.75% at ISU which I am glad and pissed off at the same time.

im in the multimedia program, its funny tho, they actually canceled the multimedia program from my campus. They Introduced "Vis Com" as a replacement. Its more Print related Media rather than 3d/computer. But they wanted all Multimedia to switch over, witch i was considering, until they told me i would loose over 12 credit hours (some classes wouldn't transfer over) they wouldn't refund or credit me those hours, and because i would loose credit hours, i would have to stay in that god-awful place and let them suck more $ outta me. i was like NO WAY so Im the last group of Multimedia to get "Flushed Out", theres like 5 of us still in the program that didn't switch over, , we made a pact to Stick together and not switch, because thats major BS

Old quote I know but there are 4 quarters in a year - hence the name QUARTERS. Still I hope you win the lottery to make up for what you owe in loans - or finish your education somewhere to get the job you were hoping for from ITT.

The quarters thing is a little weird, its about 2.5 months, 4 would be the obvious answer, but it could be 5.

Ya i hope i win the lottery or Sallie Mae's sweepstakes for 20K.
