I cannot say the same for GRC though. I payed them $100 by money order on my last check for my no longer existent job. The reason I did that is to show them that I want to pay, even though I could have used that money elsewhere. THESE businesses are leaches and I will tell you why. Prior to sending them my payment, I told them that I lost my job and I will send what I could by money order. The representative insisted that i pay by my debit account witch the had at the time (but not any more I changed it and they still think they have it but I will get to that latter). He then asked me "Why do you want to pay by money order?" I said "That is what I was advised to do." he asked who told me that. I said "My attorney." HE said that was IGNORANT and STUPID that i may lose it in the mail. I thought to myself "Hehe His is loss not mine." He also told me that they do not accept money orders. He then got militant and said "SO what are we going to charge your account the full $305." I immediately said "I will check my finances when I get my last check and I will go from there" we ended the call with a polite GoodBye. I forgot to mention that before I lost my job, I tried to get a loan from my bank to pay the loan in full, a total $5500 (just a side note, He continually reminds me of this). I tried 4 different co-signers before I gave up. I then procceded to close both my accounts and open new ones and get a new debit card(I have still avoided telling them this, lol). The next day I lost my job. Witch on my way home I had this conversation. It was a good thing I did not get the loan or I would have really been screwed.
I get a call that saturday morning. My representative Was concerned by the fact the he could not make a charge to my account. I told him that I sent a money order (witch i did the day before). he said "ok." and took the amount down and the date i sent it. He then told me that he would call me every couple of days to check up and I said "Fine." SO for the past couple of weeks he has called me every monday, witch is fine. but now its rounding the end of the month and he wants to get payed. I explained to hm that I'm still looking, he says "Ok well we need to cancel collection then until you get back on your feet." he then explained that i need to speak to a manager in order to fully cancel the collection. I never to talk to one. I get another call he says that I need to cancel collections yet. Yet again I did not get to talk to a manager, but he did not refer me to one... I just supposed that he took care of it, and guess that he did. I get a call to days later from some girl at GRC wanting me to sign up for a voluntary debt collection. I could not understand what she was saying, I was in the car driving home from a interview. I told her that my representative was **** and that I only go through him and that I have worked out every thing with him. she gives her little speech and hangs up. Over the past few days I have been receiving automated calls asking me to stay one the line. I ignore all those calls, if they really want to contact me the will call me in person.
You know what's funny? I forgot to mention this, The last time my rep called he said something that disturbed me. He said That he was ordered, HE was ordered, HE WAS ordered, HE WAS ORDERED, again WAS ORDERED by ITT Tech to call me every other day till the debt was being paied.
What... The... FUCK...
That is some fucked up shit right there...
Today I received a letter today from GRC. A *NOTICE OF INTENT TO DEBT YOUR ACCOUNT* (I loled)
Their intent is to debt me the amount of $305.00. First off, I don't have any money.... second (and i loled even harder) they are charging my debit card that the nice credit union lady shredded for me when she made my new accounts.
From the bottom of my heart....
Fuck you ITT
Fuck you GRC
Peace out ittakestime
I'm goin camping with my cousins and my friend.
P.S.
You may have not noticed but GRC more than gladly accepted the money order.
