But after much contemplation, I am going to go ahead and attend. It seems to me that if you can't find a job after receiving a formal education in a technical field, you obviously were not putting any effort into learning what you were being taught. You must have thought that just by being able to say you have a degree in whatever, that an employer would start drooling over you. But then it came down to the interview and you could not answer technical questions with any sort of retained knowledge. Why? Because you were probably too busy thinking about how much you hated being there to pay attention. So, run off to your community college so you can learn about Greek Gods and Plato, and when you interview for an IT position, you can impress the HR manager with your stunning knowledge of philosophy. I'll see you in two years when your HDTV sh*ts the bed and you need a service tech to repair it.

It's amazing how many people buy into this scam, but because of my own history I'm in a glass house so maybe I shouldn't throw stones. But g-d d-mn, I can't believe how gullible and unmoved people can be (especially after 57 pages of mostly anti-ITT comments).

The only real students attending ITT Tech are the ones that shouldn't be there.

Yea, I know the feeling. You try to tell someone the truth and instead they believe the hype, commercials, and blatant lies. I had the same problem with those 3 guys going to Collins college, they didn't want to hear it. I can understand being defensive when your attending, but not before.

What's funny is that moron thinks ITT Tech is going to teach him how to repair HDTV's, they don't even come close. Most of the time fixing TV's are either not worth the cost of repair, but if they are, it's just replacing parts. You really don't need to go to school for that, it's like being an auto mechanic, you can learn on your own and by the help of an experience mechanic. There is a difference of being able to read a book, and actually doing the work.

At least this guy woke up to the truth.

1/23/10: Anonymous from California says: I most agree with some but not all ITT has been an eye opening from me. I have not had any bad experience I knew going into ITT I would only get what I put into it... and that's with anybody who attend this school. You will need to put in some hard work and must of all be honest with yourself and the type of help you need. I have learned a lot from this school which only helped better my life. I do not currently attend ITT I transfer to another college because it was a better move for me career wise and yes all my classes transfer to my current college but I do have to advise anyone who plan on leaving ITT you will have a lot of classes that will count as elective. but hey I am attending a college that is ranking one of Midwest top 50 school according to US News... if you truly want to leave ITT and go to another college just do your research and you will find one
